Spring is here! April Art Fairs From North Carolina to Florida…

The weather is perfect for outdoor events so you have lots to choose from this month. The following is a list of mostly juried art fairs and exhibits from North Carolina through Florida. Take a few minutes to plan your weekends now!

  • Since 2004, Embracing Our Differences has used the power of art and prose to promote diversity. One way we accomplish this is through our annual international art exhibition in Sarasota’s Bayfront Park. The juried exhibit consists of 50 billboard-sized works of art, each accompanied by an inspirational quote.

  • Naples Art proudly connects artists with art shoppers in another exciting season of Art in the Park. Since 1957, Art in the Park has showcased the talents of artists and is believed to be the first outdoor art show held in Naples. Art in the Park carries on the tradition of providing our community access to the very creative fine art and craftwork of local artists.
  • The 12th Annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival

  • Enjoy an afternoon filled with arts & culture. The 12th Annual Downtown West Palm Beach Art Festival will feature artists’ tents, arranged gallery-style and filled with all mediums of fine art at this free, outdoor event.
  • Residents and visitors are invited to stroll amidst life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewels, photography, ceramics and more from the local and national artists who are on site to discuss their inspirations and processes for each hand-made work.   • Mainsail Art Festival

  • Mainsail Art Festival is ranked one of the Top 14 Fine Art & Design Shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine, America’s premier art show and festival guide. Mainsail is held in a waterfront park with a wide variety of art from which to choose. This vibrant event features 200 artists chosen from 1,000 applicants, which assures some very good quality artwork.

    Nationally ranked in the Top 100 Fine Art Festivals by Sunshine Artist Magazine for 6 years running, this annual two-day festival draws tens of thousands of people from the Big Bend Southeast region to see 150 juried artists who have traveled from all over the country to display their original fine art works.The two-day festival is free and open to the public.
  • St. Johns River Festival of the Arts

  • See Art-in-Action from live artist demonstrations and create your own piece of artwork at workshops scheduled during the weekend. Enjoy gourmet tastes at our ‘Culinary Arts Court’ while you listen to the sounds of acoustic performers.


  • Art in the Park Fine Art & Craft Festival
  • April 2-3
  • Postell Park, 532 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island, GA
  • Over 70 talented artists and skilled artisans from around the region will display an impressive and eclectic collection of handmade artwork. Attendees will enjoy a wide variety of two dimensional art, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography, textiles, wood, metal and glass. Homegrown beauty products, botanicals and gourmet goodies are also available to delight the senses. This festival is held in the beautiful live oak covered Postell Park in the heart of the Pier village, just steps from the ocean on Saint Simons Island.
  • Festival on Ponce

  • Shadyside Park, Oak Grove Park, and Springdale Park, Ponce de Leon Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30307
  • The Festival on Ponce is an Atlanta arts and crafts festival set in the historic park, Olmsted Linear Park. Visitors will enjoy the gorgeous landscape designed by one of America’s most celebrated landscape architects, Fredrick Olmsted Sr. along with over 125 displays of fine arts and crafts, folk and “outsider art”. In addition to the fine arts, there will be a children’s area and local food and beverage. Attendance is Free.
  • Acworth Art Fest
  • April 10-11
  • 4835 N Main St, Acworth, GA
  • This perfect art-buyers destination will host booths from over fifty whimsical and talented artisans from around the country. For this year’s Art Fest, modifications will be made to the event layout with artist booths arranged to allow more space between vendors and provide ease of travel on Main Street. These creative booths will feature paintings, pottery, folk art, jewelry, and much more! Visitors won’t want to miss out on the delicious fare from Acworth’s own eateries and delectable treats in the food court. 
  • Georgia Watercolor Society National Exhibition
  • April 15-June 3, 2022
  • Opening reception: Friday, April 15, 2022, 6 – 8 p.m. Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation, Watkinsville, GA
  • GWS hosts their National Exhibition annually, which is open to any artist working in water media. The work of 79 artists will be part of the exhibition.

  • The Sandy Springs area is a vibrant, upscale, family friendly community just north of Buckhead and Atlanta. This event will feature up to 150 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craft persons, glass blowers, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on arts activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages. Plus, there will be artistic activities for children!
  • Wesleyan Artist Market
  • April 29-30, 2022
  • Wesleyan School, Atlanta, GA
  • Each year, the Wesleyan Artist Market hosts approximately 80 professional artists from across the region. The Wesleyan Artist Market is a fine art, jewelry, and fine wares show. It is one of the premier school-sponsored art shows in the Southeast. Exhibiting artists are in attendance for the entire duration of the show. Per Wesleyan School tradition, we will also host select Wesleyan student artists in 2022.
  • Duluth Arts Festival
  • April 20-May 1
  • Downtown Duluth GA
  • This festival is an art festival for Artists by Artists, letting the artist have a voice in the creation and operations of the festival. This event will feature approximately 86 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, plus gourmet food trucks with healthy alternatives and music and dance performances. 

North Carolina

  • Davidson’s juried art festival features booths filled with top-quality art works from artists throughout the region. The weekend includes musical performances by a variety of local talents and a host of food choices from both on-site vendors and area restaurants.   • The annual Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival is a juried North Carolina art show, inviting approximately 170 artists to exhibit at Bond Park. The annual Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival gives a true nod to the artistry and creativity that makes up the state of North Carolina, welcoming 170 local artists. Embodying the importance of sustainability through an Earth Day Celebration, encouraging an active lifestyle with outdoor sporting activities, and bringing the community together at no cost, Spring Daze is a highly anticipated festival each year! Guests can also expect to find toe-tapping entertainment on four stages, delicious food and several activities for the kids. 

South Carolina

  • The Summerville Family YMCA Flowertown Festival 2022

  • Summerville Family YMCA
  • Over 200 jury-selected artists from throughout the country who display their work for sale. The Flowertown Festival is the Y’s premiere fundraiser founded in 1973 to support health and wellness programs at the Y. Every spring, thousands of people visit Summerville to see nature’s bounty awash in color, from the hot pink azaleas, to the purple wisteria, to the delicate white dogwood. On this three-day weekend, festival-goers transcend this gracious Southern town to take in the flowers and hospitality and attend one of the largest arts and crafts festivals in the Southeast: The Summerville Family YMCA Flowertown Festival.

  • During Masters week in beautiful Historic Downtown Aiken, SC, the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department, the City of Aiken Arts Commission, and Aiken Downtown Development Association present the 11th annual Aiken Art Walk. This event brings together emerging and established visual and performing artists, farmers and artisans, arts organizations, locals, and tourists alike. Delight in the musical talents of street side performers while you peruse pop-up shops of 40 gifted artisans. Downtown shops will be open late. Admission is free!

  • THE SOUTH’S MOST ENGAGING ART COMPETITION AND FESTIVAL The Lake City ArtFields Collective is a community arts non profit located in Lake City, South Carolina. We were founded in 2013 with a mission to celebrate Southern art and revitalize our small town through the arts. Our flagship event, ArtFields, turns the town into a gallery as local businesses display hundreds of artworks and artists compete for $100,000 in prizes. During the year, our three galleries feature rotating exhibitions to not only provide a place for artists to showcase their work, but also to create access to the arts for an underserved area. A robust public art collection and art education for South Carolina youth finish off our ever-growing art based programs.
  • The Art Market at Historic Honey Horn

  • A juried fine art and craft show on the grounds of historic Honey Horn at the Coastal Discovery Museum. Stroll through artists’ booths under historic live oaks to find that perfect piece of original art to take home. Fine art and craft in all shapes, sizes, styles, price ranges, and mediums will be available for purchase during this weekend. The event will host artists from as far away as Connecticut and Wisconsin, and well-known local artists will share the spotlight during this weekend-long event. $5/adult

  • Downtown Anderson, South Carolina
  • Over 50 artists will be set up along the streets of downtown Anderson selling original handcrafted works. This community-led festival, hosted by the City of Anderson, will provide an entertaining two-day cultural experience attracting visitors from near and far. Visitors will enjoy live performances with multiple stages, visual artists selling original handcrafted works and delicious food prepared by some of Anderson’s finest chefs. It is fun for the whole family with creative activities planned especially for children and the young at heart!

October 16-17

River Clay, Decatur, AL

The River Clay Fine Arts Festival artist market features artists from all over the country selling their creations. Come spend a day in beautiful downtown Decatur shopping for art. In addition, patrons and festival goers will enjoy live music, children’s activities, student art exhibits, chalk art, food trucks and more!

Kentuck Festival of the Arts, 3401 5th Street, Northport, AL

TICKETS: $10 single day pass, $15 weekend pass, kids 12 & under get in free. The two-day festival has its roots in folk art and features 260+ artists, live music, spoken word, activities for children, folk and contemporary craft demonstrations, food trucks, and local craft brews. Kentuck has been featured in Smithsonian Magazine, Southern Living, American Style Magazine, and National Geographic Traveler. I

33rd Annual Jubilee Festival of Arts, Lott Park, on Main Street in Olde Towne Daphne, AL. 

Art, music & local cuisine meet southern charm at this annual festival set along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Find the very best in jewelry, paintings, pottery, sculpture, wood, mixed media, functional & decorative items. Olde Towne Daphne’s picturesque bay views are an inspiration to artists from across the country. The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce hosts the Jubilee Festival of Arts each year to support tourism and the arts & spotlight the beauty and fun of Olde Towne Daphne.

Ocala Arts Festival, Ocala, Florida 

The Ocala Arts Festival has been voted as one of the most loved events in our community. Artists are chosen by an independent panel of four judges. There will be 150+ artists from all over the United States bringing their beautiful pieces to downtown Ocala, Florida. The Art Festival is produced by an all-volunteer board and draws more than 25,000 visitors each year. Artists compete for $22,000 worth of award money presented to the winners which are selected by two prestigious judges.

Norcross Art Splash Festival, Lillian Webb Park, 5 College St., Norcross, GA

Ninety artists from across the country will show off their talents with folk art, ceramics, paintings, photography, mixed media, fiber art, metalwork, and of course, jewelry…lots of sparkly bling! Bring the kids for an interactive Kidz Zone with face painting, sand art and inflatable rides. Of course, we’ll have lots of festival food and drink.

Fall Arts in the Park, City Park, Blue Ridge, GA 30513

Located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Arts in the Park festival series draws in excess of 20,000 attendees annually and a wide array of artists and food vendors.  With over 170+ artists, exhibitors, and vendors booths, our visitors enjoy a variety of fine arts and fine crafts, demonstrations, food, and much more during the Arts in the Park festivals.

North Carolina

Asheville Arts in the Park, Asehville, North Carolina

Asheville Art in the Park will once again be providing access to some of the finest artists in the region with it’s market series now in its second decade. The event takes place on three consecutive Saturdays each June and October. Nationally known artists exhibit at this event and the best part is- they are local.

Blowing Rock Art in the Park, Blowing Rock, North Carolina

Artists are jury-selected and each show features a different set of artists, curated to present a wide variety of mediums. Find gifts and works for personal collections, functional beauties like furniture and cutlery, and wearable art like handcrafted jewelry and textiles. Artists’ tents line Park Avenue right in downtown Blowing Rock so attendees can enjoy proximity to other shopping, as well as dining options and local parks. Make a weekend of it, and stay for the outdoor Concert in the Park that follows each Art in the Park on Sundays!

11th Annual Kings Drive Art Walk, Charlotte, North Carolina

Since the fall of 1964, Festival in the Park has brought Charlotteans from all walks of life together to enjoy arts, crafts, music and family entertainment.  With the mission of bringing the community together by celebrating the arts.

We invite you to participate in our event which will be held along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, a reclaimed natural waterway between East Morehead Street and Pearle Park Way Bridge along Kings Drive. With a focus on fine and emerging artists, our festival on this beautiful and easily accessible venue is an annual fine arts outing!

Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood FestivalArt on the Street 

Bluffton, South Carolina

Part of a weeklong festival. Stroll Old Town Bluffton and see our state designated cultural district come alive! POP UP ART on gallery lawns on gallery porches and in Martin Family Park – temporary art displays join the many galleries to highlight the artistic and cultural side of Bluffton. A celebration of exceptional handmade, original local art including oil and acrylic paintings, pottery and much, much more.

River Arts Festival, Renasant Convention Center, Memphis, TN

The RiverArtsFest Artist Market is dedicated to providing a vibrant marketplace for original handcrafted works of fine art produced by local, regional, and nationally recognized artisans. Last year, we received more than 450 applications from artisans across the nation and here in Memphis.

Artoberfest, Galveston, Texas

Artful, interesting and activity-oriented — that’s Galveston’s ARToberFEST. It’s our premier juried art festival, showcasing the works of over 120 U.S. artists and presented by The Grand 1894 Opera House.


October 3rd

MPArtfest, McLean Park, McLean, Virginia

MPAartfest transforms McLean Park into an outdoor art studio and community-wide celebration of the visual arts. The festival features contemporary art plus music, food, children’s activities, and more. Free admission; 10:00 – 4:00.

October 22–24


One of the only outdoor art shows produced by an accredited museum. The Boardwalk Art Show strives to have the highest caliber fine art in the relaxing setting of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Ranked as a top 15 Fine Art Show of the Decade by Sunshine Artist Magazine, this three-day festival welcomes nearly 200 artists from around the country featuring fine art across several mediums including ceramics, photography, sculpture, and glassworks.
